Brynjolfur has things going for him, one might say. Since Brynjolfur á Heygum, who was born and raised on the Faroe Islands, moved to Copenhagen 4 years ago he has elevated from being a prominent personality on the smaller stages to being one of the most exciting new artist on the bigger and more pulsating music stage. Besides DJ'ing on every corner of Copenhagen city life, he was hosting the biggest stage, The Nordic Rave, on this years Distortion festival. The festival had over 100.000 visitors.
He finds his inspiration in disco, acid house and old school sound that has it's roots in Chicago and Detroit. His style and DJ skills have served him respect and appreciation from names like Richie Hawtin (Plastikman), Spleen United, Rosa Lux and the late Kjeld Tolstrup.
Besides having released his new EP Brynjolfur's recent work include remixing one of the Danish hits of the year, making a guest mix for one of the mostappreciated Danish electronic radio shows, he is also working on an debut album for being released spring next year
