wicked production comments here from @Quextal. This is a great track already, wicked vibe & energy...a little touch of acidy resonance would defo twist this tune right up. Good work man!

Wohoo, sweet Track, reminds me somehow of the old days playing WipeOut on Playstation a decade ago. Thanks for bringing back those lovely memories!

Considering this is not my favourite genre i want to express all my appreciated compliments for this track with a ORIGINAL AND COOL INTRO..

@Quextal: Firstly, thankyou for all the detailed feedback Quextal, secondly the long intro is just a slow fade in in this 'preview', NOT the final mixdown. Also, the gain difference is deliberate, so the music JUMPS out at ya. When I posted this track up I had only spent about 8 hours on it, with alot of 'errors' that I was fully aware of, but it's still nice to know that that some people are enjoying & analising my productions - BIG UP!

I love the vibe of this track. Lots of different influences coming together. There's always a risk of things getting messy in such circumstances, you've done fairly well avoiding that but could do with tightening up here and there, like those alternate snares. The arpeg leadsynth loop could do with it too - its frequency range is getting lost amongst other layers, and each note could do with being a bit more crisply defined I think, a nice sharp attack and release so it will quantize more precisely, and use EQ and maybe a touch of resonance to lift it's peak frequency a bit higher up the spectrum, add a bit of sharpness and sparkle, and largely taking it out of the competing for chunks of the low-mid with other parts.

All your snares are quite long. You could give things a bit more punch by chopping them... don't have to do all of them, could just do alternate ones, ie each bar's first snare long, and the second one short.

No problem having a long build, but using such a slow fade on the entire intro over such a long period doesn't sound good to me. I'd rather it built up in layers. Each layer can be faded in (or just started as appropriate), but I would make the fades much quicker, 4-8 bars to reach target volume. Also there's currently a big jump in volume between the end of the intro and the drop, that will make a lot of people reach for the volume control. The intro needs to reach practically the same peak amplitude as the main track, albeit not peaking as often there, in plenty of time before the beats and bass hit, so there are no nasty surprises of the kind that can blow holes in speakers!

@DJMelly: Appreciate your criticisms Melly, & don't worry, because I've been a recording engineer & drum tech for over 15 years 'tuning' IS an important part of my living! Hop on over to jaredbryant.com for some earlier examples of this. Big thankyou for taking the time to listen to my work, feedback is an important part of the modern day music making process.

The track is a Great Idea man....hope you dont mind my constructive critasisim , Personally i would change your snare sound, its to industrial for the felling of the track and has to much Tonal resonance. Dont Forget your Drums Have Pitch!!! Apart from that, tidy this up and it wil be a winner.

Got a quirky feel, this one, retro sounds - polished into a futuristic vibration, great programming!
