Bruxism aka Pierre Bobillier was born with music coursing through his veins and at the age of 13, started dabbling in creating his own, heavily influenced by hip-hop. At 15, he got his first set of turntables and the rest is history.
Bruxism started playing out in early 2011 and quickly claimed residency at Chinese Laundry and World Bar. He is also one of the founding members (alongside Hatch, Hydraulix and Autoclaws) of Sydney-based bass music collective, Boss Bass - which has been a regular event at Chinese Laundry since October 2011.
For the first couple of years, he focused his attention on dubstep and drum & bass, supporting a plethora of heavyweights such as Optimus Gryme [NZ], Gemini [UK], Emalkay [UK], Utah Jazz [UK], Downlink [CAN], Phesta [AUS], Mark Instinct [CAN], LTJ Bukem [UK], Subzero [UK], Eksman [UK], Boy Kid Cloud [UK], Optiv [UK] & BTK [BRA], Crushington [NZ], The Upbeats [NZ] and DC Breaks [UK] as well as gaining radio support from Triple J's Deacon Rose, and being a guest on the Garage Pressure show on FBi 94.5.
He has since turned his full attention to drum & bass, and is known for his crazy selection of rollers, tech dnb and neurofunk. No doubt, Brux will have you screw facing for the entire duration of his set.
