Bruno learned to DJ at University in 1999 and soon got to guest at Uni nights with acts such as Lost Witness and Brandon Block. Promoters soon noticed his talent and he was asked to open the Edinburgh leg of the Euphoria Live Tour. During the summer of 2000 Bruno played weekly at The City Café for the Pre-Taste club, Touch, which provided good local exposure for him. Bruno went on to reach the Scottish finals of the Daily Telegraph/Vestax DJ competition in 2000 and 2001 and was a judge on the 2002 competition.
In 2001 he became resident at Majestica. During his time there (from the very first to very last night) he played with legendary DJs like James Holden, Lucien Foort, Max Graham, Futureshock and Trisco – to name but a few. He played at many other nights such as the legendary Taste, Exposure (Glasgow), Club Together, Soo Delcicious, Saturn and Shhhhhhh along with a regular Saturday night at the now defunct EH1 Bar and a 5 year residency at The Wash Bar.
Following Majestica he concentrated on his passion for Techno and went on to play at a variety of nights such as Karnival, Freqbeat, Slashdot, Beatroot, Split, Headway (Dundee), Unlock the House, MON.O, Dirt, Az-Tech Presents.
Bruno also held down a residency at the weekly institution ‘Split’ at Cabaret Voltaire and is a resident and co-promoter of Compakt Club. Compakt has hosted a number of high-calibre guests such as Gary Beck, Joey Beltram, Harvey McKay, Pär Grindvik, Hans Bouffmyhre, Dustin Zahn, Robert Babicz, Phil Kieran, Perc and more. You can also catch him guesting at clubs such as Pulse, Kapital, Animal Hospital, Elementary, Edinburgh Techno Gathering, Evolve and a number of other local techno nights. He also plays at the Outhouse alongside local talent such as Craig Ramsay (System Soundbar) and Neil Templar (Unseen/Dogma).
In 2010 he started producing his own music starting with the release of his Brain Switch EP on Modifi Recordings. He then went on to remix Romart’s ‘IdBehold’ and Mister Meanor’s ‘This Can’t Go On’ (also released on Modifi Recordings). He has released tracks on Einwanderer Recordings, Materia Negra (to be released end of July 2013) and will also have a collaboration out on Benefit Recordings later on in this year. He also just recently signed a track to the very popular techno label, 'Italo Business' which has really spurred him on. Bruno’s going to get a lot more productions under his belt in 2013 and beyond so keep your eyes (and ears) open for him this year!
