The project ‘Brujo’s Bowl’ is the alias of Saxon Higgs. A young, talented musician and producer from mid Wales (UK). Saxon started out by playing about with various instruments when he was a teenager. Playing in bands and organising jam sessions in the depths of the wild Welsh countryside.
However, as time progressed, so did his taste in music. Before the Brujo's Bowl project was created, Saxon was receiving his first grand experiences in the electronic music scenes. Moving around the dance floor till the early hours of the morning until finally, the sound system owners would realise that it'd probably be a good idea to turn the music off and get some sleep. We've all been there.
All the while at these parties Saxon was absorbing. Like a sponge. He would soak up the intricacy of the music he had been dancing to. He would take the mass of what he could remember home with him, lay it out on the table and learn how to produce the music that he enjoyed so much.
Psytrance captured his attention. Progressive music moved him to his core. Dub and UK bass music rattled his nostrils until eventually psybreaks stepped in and gave him a nudge of it's own... Quite a hard nudge at that, being bombarded with so much exceptional music made Saxon's head spin. So much choice and yet too few were merging these styles.
Saxon is known for his ability to move from one particular genre of music into another, creating a fusion of sounds. Many people know of his Minimal Progressive, whilst others enjoy his Down-tempo material. Keeping his listeners transfixed is Saxon's ultimate chellange.
Brujo's Bowl has released e.p' on various record labels in the Psytrance scene. His debut album, 'Wealth is the seed'. Was released on the highly acclaimed Zenon Records. After working with many labels, Saxon decided to change course. He created his own independent record label, 'Triple Drop Productions'. Saxon has now released a downtempo album, a Progressive e.p and a Psybreaks e.p on his label. And will continue to bring more varieties in sound to the people. His second alias, 'Beatroots'. Is also introducing a new diverse sound to the electronic music scene. Focusing on his inspirations from Minimal DnB, Steppin' bass music and Dub Techno. Bringing the sub level up and the psychedelic sounds down. In order to gain a more universal audience.

After releasing a few free ep's via various labels such as 'Glitchy.tonic' and 'Arkona creation' in 2011. The Brujo Released his third ep 'Minimaliptus fruits'
soon after, on 'Distant tremor records'. And now he looks forward to being part of the ever expanding family of the Zenon collective.
