This past autumn, my beloved code owl recording studio and lounge suffered a flood during Tropical Storm Lee which destroyed many cherished novelties and instruments of creativity. Allison, took the lead in the recovery effort, championing through many dealings with bureaucrats, shills and masons.  Thanks to all of you who helped us haul soaked carpet and artifacts away. We truly are lucky to have such wonderful family and friends.
Floods, if nothing else, are good for the unearthing artifacts. In our case it was a box of cassettes of a mysterious origin. On one such tape, labeled ‘Purgatory Mix,’ were a collection of songs I have enjoyed at various points in my life – all covered by an artist, judging by the voice and arrangement, to be none other than myself. I have no recollection of making this strange mix-tape let alone recording these songs. Well… Who am I to deny such a thing could happen? Rather than rearchiving this Purgatory Mix, I’ve placed a code right on this letter which should redirect so that you might download and possess these tracks yourself.
