here is little interview by Filthy Friction:

1: First off what inspired you to follow a musical route in life?
BB: Nice question to a music producer! Hahaha... I am in love with music since my early childhood. Recording tapes of dj radio mixes was a big hobby. This inspired me to mix my show again at home, followed by doing my own tracks for my own mixes, and so on.
I started with a Roland W30 workstation – a sample based synth – doing breakbeats! It was a nice time... ;)

2: What can we expect from you musically in the near future?
BB: The first thing is a Broombeck live tour. I think that it is the result of the done works on the project. The music is for dancefloors so i have to bring it to the clubs! :) My dates will be anounced on my website www.broombeck.de . I have made some remixes which will be released the next month (e.g. for Monika Kruse (Terminal M)) and of course some new own and collaboration releases on different labels.

4: What piece of equipment can't you live without?
BB: My computer! :)

5: Is the digital age a positive or negative thing for the electronic music scene?
BB: You have both sides. First is the possibilty to reach more people because labels doesn't have to produce thousands of expensive vinyls. Everyone is able to produce music on laptops at home!
But the biggest negative point is that people use illegal downloads... :( I think it will lead to a big crash of the music industry and of course they will damage the quality of music.

6: Hardware or software?
BB: This is a short excerpt of my studio equipment:
In my studio: Intel dual quadcore mac, macbook pro, UAD2quad pcie (most of the plugins), powercore x8 (+virus, tubetech), ssl duende classic, rme hammerfall dsp pcie (+ multiface), unitor8 mk2, ni kore, trigger finger, monome 256, jazzmutant lemur, virus ti, waves maxx bcl, logic control, ramsa panasonic wrda7, goldmike (+ some microphones & recording chamber), master keyboard, tannoy system1000 & subwoofer, 2x 1210mk2/mixer/pioneer cd dj player, ...
Logic8.02, live 7.0.14, ni komplete 5, all of arturia, oxford bundle & thousands of GREAT softsynth & softfx...

I had big racks of hardware equipment years ago, but i think that you don't need it anymore. I'm very happy working with my computer on this system because it's possible to switch very fast from one track to another and you have a huge variety of effects and synth in one system. The sound is fantastic nowadays. And with the analogue/vintage simulation plugins your sound "turns" quite into analogue made sound (like the uad or ssl plugins do!).

7: Final Words?
BB: I have to say THANK YOU to all the people buying and playing my tracks around the world! YOUR great feedback and comments on my websites and being in beatport top10 of 2008 is a huge motivation for creating new stuff for my projects!
