In this week's edition of 'North By Southwest', Nicolas Jackson visits the Avantcomic International Conference held at one of Madrid's newest cultural spaces, the ABC Museum of Drawing and Illustration. There he talks to leading exponents of comics and graphic novels including the event's co-founder and co-organiser Max, whose own work has won him many national and international prizes and recognition around the world. Nicolas also meets speakers at the conference including Sam Arthur of UK publisher's Nowbrow and British graphic novelists Tom Gauld and Jon Mcnaught.
