It's a funny thing, people have consistantly mis-interpreted the song American Pie as all about the death of Buddy Holly, it isn't. It is in fact one of the greatest protest songs ever written. It dwells within the idea that the song writer wishe he could see the world through the eyes of a child again but recounts all the reasons, in a slightly criptic manner granted, that he can't. This song dwells in the same subject matter. Miss You Every Day is all about the weight of the world forcing you to look at things differently, look at things like an adult instead of a child, as if that's a good thing.
