Should There Be a Robin Hood Tax?
The Robin Hood Tax would be a small tax on financial transactions to raise funds to tackle poverty and climate change here and abroad. The panel brings together David Hillman, Coordinator, Stamp Out Poverty; Professor David Gordon, Director of the Townsend Centre for International Poverty Research School for Policy Studies, University of Bristol; Stephen Williams MP, Bristol West; and Professor Laurence Copeland, Professor of Finance and Co-Director of Investment Management Research Unit, Cardiff Business School (and member of Institute of Economic Affairs) who will oppose the tax.
