About

Leif B. Jensen's great passion for music was sparked in the earliest years of his life, when his father would lull him to sleep with the soothing melodies of such early new age artists as Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis (naturally a big influence)
In school, Leif found music class fairly boring, and was in the habit of making regular visits to the principal's office after his unscheduled drum solos.

When he got his first computer, he began experimenting with making his own music, and joined a DJ class. His interest soon grew into a passion. After buying his first Atari (once the gold standard for computer-based music production), he realized he'd need a lot more equipment to get his studio up and running. At the time (1991), he was in school for graphic design, and spent a great deal of his time (and all of his money) buying records at the local record shop. It was at this shop that he met Claus Larsen ("Leather Strip"), whose record-buying advice was always sound (pun intended).

In 1997, Leif signed his first release with a local record label -- a 12" called "Feeling Weird". This melodic downtempo track made its way onto the classic Café del Mar Music series, and was eventually re-released on the Café del Mar 20th Anniversary compilation. Since then Leif have released various tracks on the renowned danish label Tic Tac Toe Records, run by DJ Patrick Bateman. The german house/techno label, Karmarouge, also released two ep's - "Past Midnight EP", which was elected "Record of the Month" by german Raveline Magazine, and "Cherry Popper EP". In September 2010 the danish label Lifted Tech House released a BrightLight single called "Stasis", including four great remixes created by Obe, Shiftfunc and last but not least, BrianBerg, who also happens to be Leif's younger brother.

Leif has always enjoyed experimenting with a wide variety of different styles of electronic music, from ambient and downtempo to house, techno, trance, and drum'n'bass. Although not content to restrict himself to a specific style, house music has always had a special place in his heart, and it shines through in many of his productions. A solid groove has always been his primary objective - "It's the groove that makes your body rock".
