[SouthFull], Brifo's first album came after a long list of collabs, live and session work as a musician, writer or composer, for known or indie acts, including the Gotan Project, DJ Cam, the cream of the Yellow Label. His cinematic and sensitive approach also got recognition from the art scene, as the album premiere in Centre Pompidou in Paris confirms.
Tracks like Mi Piano Rojo rapidly grew a following on both dancefloors and radios radio worldwide (200+ reported playlists) and through various compilations. It also attracted attention from french chanteuse Patricia Kaas, who asked Brifo to write some originals and finally produce her new album, which went immediately platinum in Russia (now reaching 2 millions worldwide)
Recorded in Buenos Aires and Paris, It Must Be Summer Somewhere has its unique sound, mixing elements of english, french, argentinian modes and moods. Teaming up with an impressive line up of singers including Armelle Pioline [of Holden] and Veronika Silva [of The Gotan Project], this new gem gives a cross-cultural angle for today's pop, classy yet corrosive, poetic yet grounded, combined with elusive and sensuous lyrics.
