About
The great Brick Lane Quake of 2009 devastated the area, releasing ancient energies, dirty house beats and electro echoes once thought lost to the world of men. Local tribes of Goths and Grindies made they offerings to the Quake in shock and awe, chanting "Who in this house know about the Quake?"... and in return were sent dark vibes, ethereal vocals and shattered images.

Great synth pad and transition
Love the reverb FX and build
Great track, dreamy buildup into tight break
Lovin the groove
Great interpretation of a classic... and love the sample stabs from original
great ideas, maybe try a new arrangement building to more energy at the finish
lot of anticipation, momentum built in previous passage and lost a little here
nice transition
like the buildup
Is the oscillation 'warble' from orginal or added reverb/delay line - would throttle back if possible on the opening vocal intro
Like the approach, perhaps a few too many breakdowns without a bassline for me personally, but great track overall
great buildup
@Near Earth Object: Found that the lovingly sliced vocal was sitting just off the bar in the mix track (doh!) ... so you do have excellent ears... corrected in latest version which I will post to my own area shortly ;) thanks
Great track
Love the soundscape, perhaps arrangement needs better flow as a dancefloor track, but great vibe
Lovin this groove
@toolroomrecords: Thanks, loved working with the track and trying a different perspective, and had good feedback from DJs who have critiqued it. Have a new version coming along with 'more top and less bottom' in the EQ and more work on slicing the vocal to the new bpm.
Very Oakenfold on a good day, lovely production automation and panning effects - a winning track if ever I heard one
Love the drop, great builds and fx, storming
Fresh and funky
Thought would be hard to take vocal up to DnB tempo, really brave work and like a lot
Very 80s Fairchild sampler feel... different
Very Stock Aitken and Waterman... in two minds whether that is a good thing
Interesting dub/edit style fused with vocal tech house... like it
Very Erasure synth pop feel - remember to turn Downloads off manually
Many great moments, but does feel more like a mashup with two tracks/melodies fighting it out... interesting, will need to listen a few times
@Near Earth Object: Thanks for playing. Original is around 120.6 these are spun up and repitched at 128, then hit-point sliced to the new bar structure... so will sound different and guess it is subjective whether that works... and new IR reverb model applied. Did not want to be in same zone as source ;)
Very subtle, like the reserved touch, dark oscillators, low tempo
Feel the 'squelch'
Great slicing and atmosphere, this opening section very Depeche in a good way, following more Oakenfold / Apollo440 - excellent
Love the edge, distortion.. note the DropBox enables Downloading you will need to edit and switch off ;)
Unique! Also need to turn Downloads off for the competition rules
Love the intro - remember to turn downloads off for the competition rules
Very professional track, maybe just missing a little soul or hook to make it stand out?
Less is more... storming, atmospheric track
Love the bulid and transition
Love lyric and laidback, trip hop delivery and soundscape. Might filter some of white noise hiss, but appreciate that may be a deliberate feel. Great track
Like the urgent, attacking synth and bassline, evolution reminds me of John Foxx in a very good way
Great stabs/glitches and samples
Love the build....
