Well, Phil and I had a great time putting this together! He is a fabulous songwriter, and gifted musician and singer. After he'd recorded his guitar and vocals, he realised that an helicopter was flying nearby, and the sound had been recorded at the end!! We decided to leave it in, together with Phil's exclamation...! Please visit https://soundcloud.com/philipbridle

    Country Air (Peters)
    -
    I’m eating up the miles
    Left behind the city lights
I don’t need to keep an eye on my tracks
    -
As far as I can get
    This lane is straight ahead
The other one is heading straight back
    -
If there’s a light upon my roadway
And there’s fuel in the tank
If there’s a surface for my wheels to meet
I know I can make it home at last
    -
    I took some good advice
When I started on this ride
They say the country air is clear
    -
It’s a home away from home
It’ll ease your mind and soothe your soul
So I started out alone to get down there
    -
The hills were filled with smoke
And the cops had blocked the road
And a newsman was reporting on the scene
    -
There was trouble in the town
So I turned my car around
And I drove those township blues off my feet
