About

It’s been almost 15 years since Brett Lawrence emerged on the UK scene as a DJ, producer and now label owner. Over the years Brett has proven that it’s not just his music that makes him such a valuable asset to the house music community but his total dedication to the cause. Whether organizing events or discovering new talent for his label.

Brett first caught the vinyl bug at the age of 14. He began buying early house and techno records and by the age of 16 his ability behind the decks landed him gigs at a number of local clubs and residencies at some of the south coasts best-known nightspots.

In 1998 Brett relocated to Southampton. During this time, Brett was DJing and clubbing all over the country, making connections and building up a solid network of DJs and artists, which led to the inevitable formation of his booking agency Tweak UK in 2003. A move to London in 2004 opened yet another chapter in Brett’s musical career. A wealth of new music and influences saw Brett start to experiment with deeper tech house sounds; something that was later conveyed in his production work.

In 2009 Brett established, the now thriving, Assembly Records. For Brett, it’s always been a question of choosing uncompromising artists who possess a unique and original voice - an attitude that defines his own.
