In the best possible way, this sounds like it should be coming out of a mutant Nitendo Gameboy that has grown limbs and started mugging someone. Sweet.

I think this track definitely has potential, I like the synths and wobbling bass, but I really think the drum sounds (particularly the kick) need beefing up. good luck and keep up the good work!

I don't know, I listen to a lot of straight up glitch coming out of mille plateaux, so its kind of hard to make sense of Glitch Hop that sounds more to me like D & B or dubstep, not that I'm not a fan of both. To my mind if you really want to get it glitch you shoudl really focus on the quality and texture of your individual sounds.

This has more bass, Loving the tune! (could still push the bass a little....)
-
@Zarkov: layer a sine in the sub freqs. never... NEVER raise the volume of the bass. lower everything else. yeah its painstaking, but you will get the benefits

Great first attempt, Some of the bitcrushing is a little harsh. and some parts are a little to loud, it was kinda jarring. Keep at it. my advice to you is to just keep tweaking the sounds... reverse, cut up, crush, timestretch, flang, vocoder. try a progression of different effects on one sound. create a separate project file just as a scratch pad for messin with sounds, export the wav files and put them in as samples then tweak with them more, helps cut down on system resources too.
- Breakmagos on July 02, 2009 11:14
@rapegrenade: cheers dude, I know it's a little rough, I only started it the day before yesterday and put it up here yesterday. Cheers for the feedback and keep posted for a better mix in next week or so. Peace.

Nice dirty sound..all the back and forths with the node synths very edgy.A build up woulda been tight..keep it coming.

A bit of a work in progress, though not too far from being finished. My first attempt at Glitch Hop so any feedback or suggestions would be welcome. Inspired by the thought and sight of mighty mechs locked in destructive, epic combat amidst the ruins of modern cities.
Well this is a surprising gentle little number. A very nice surprised, being honest this side swipped me. Gorgeous so far, lovely tones and textures...it all sits nicely together, i wouldn't change a thing.
@Shatterfreak: Cheers bro. Much appreciated. Peace.
