BreakBeat Energy was founded by soundFLUX, a breaks DJ based in the nation's capitol, in January of 2004. After years of promoting, hosting events, and performing at some of the nation's most exclusive club nights; it only made sense to take BreakBeat Energy to the next level.

It wasn't until May of 2009 that BreakBeat Energy Records was introduced along with many new producers of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia music scene. Possessing years of in depth knowledge spanning many genres of music, BreakBeat Energy Records is beginning to hit it's stride.

Releases from BreakBeat Energy Records can be found on most MP3 shops worldwide. With new releases rolling out of the many studios in the tri-state area, one can rest assure that this small independent label will only pick up the pace with it's release schedule.

BreakBeat Energy Records strives to stand out from other independent labels in the music industry by providing a flexible platform for new and upcoming producers who enjoy the rewards of exploring many different musical genres. Although, a majority of BreakBeat Energy Records releases fall into the Breakbeat and House genres; current projects are in the works that reach out to the HipHop, Dubstep, and Drum & Bass communities as well.
