ENGLISH BIO:

Bread and Butter (“B&B”) is the most representative group of the electronic scene in Extremadura (southwest Spain), not only for its attention to detail and its personal and varied production style, but also for its conclusive live shows. B&B producers, Joaquín Gemio y Nacho Vicente, are both from Badajoz and although for some years they have followed their musical careers separately (producing as well as live performances), it was in 2000 when they joined their talent and knowledge in this project. Among the groups with which they have separately worked and collaborated are: TNN, DREAM MACHINE, LOGIC CONTROL, DIVINE DECADENCE, INTEGRAL BREAD ... compiling in each of them great knowledge, as they have worked with styles that go from Techno-Pop to Trance or to the darkest and serious Electro.

In spite of being one of the recent groups bursting into country’s electronic scene, numerous music venues and festivals in Spain have already been able to enjoy their live performances. Among the most important festivals in which they have played are "Electrosonic Burgos 2009", “Al-andalus Retro”, and “Satisfaxión Live Dance Festival”, where they performed live to approximately 8.000 people and was considered by the public (in an internet survey carried out by the festival organization) as one of the best two live shows of the festival, only behind the performances of Órbital. They have shared poster and stage with artists of the stature of: Orbital, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, LadyTron, Radio Slave, Freestylers, Asian Dub Foundation, Marco Carola, The Hacker, Oxia, Dj Rush, Robert Hood, Cristian Varela, Oscar Mulero, Misstress Barbara, Guy Gerber, Paul Ritch, Popov, Uto Karem, Sideral, D.Wachman, Adam Freeland, Samuel L. Sesion, Reeko, Gaetano Parisio, Marc Houle, Frank Lorber, Sebastian Leger, Cycle, O.funkillo, Chambao, Fillia Brazillia, Meat Katie, Leeroy Thornhill, Atomic Hoolingan, Dj Zinc, Howtek, Baby D, Krafty Kuts, Violadores del Verso, SFDK, Tote King, La Excepción, Triple X, and a lengthy list.

To date, they have published 3 vinyl records with different national labels and their productions can be found in at least 5 compilation cds. Nowadays this duo has not shown preference for a definite style. In their forthcoming works we will be able to listen to an electronic bit that tries to gather the best of every style style, without leaving aside the originality and power that is their main characteristic.
