This is "Maamme", the Finnish National Anthem in its very own Brazilian language Jazz Bossa tribute.

The idea came while I was teaching Brazilian language to my kids while they were teaching me Finnish. There is no law on an official national anthem in Finland, but Maamme is firmly established by convention. Composed by the German immigrant Fredrik Pacius, with (original Swedish) words by Johan Ludvig Runeberg, it was performed for the first time on 13 May 1848.

As a tribute, this song is available as public, free download at http://www.brazilianaeroplane.com/ for everyone, but the copyrights and use permissions are required, please contact music@generare.com for that.

"The first time this work has been announced was during the Helsinki Samba Carnaval 2011 where Eduardo from the Brazilian Aeroplane band has been given the King of Carnaval task."

Enjoy!
