Kippi Kaninus is an Icelandic electronica artist working with organic sounds to weave mesmerising, descriptive soundscapes and sonic narratives. He is often seen performing live with Sigur Ros string quartet Amiina, and has toured widely with Múm.
This is the opening track from the album "Happens Secretly", released in the UK October 5th 2009, on Brainlove Records.
"Iceland should stand as one of the bastions of creation and, in that sense, Kippi Kaninus should now stand as another exporter of its beauty." - Drowned in Sound, 8/10
"An Icelandic artist who's sung in choirs for Sigur Ros and Bjork - weird and wonderful tracks from Iceland." - Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1
"He knows what he's good at, and has fun in genre he's got true passion for. Kippi executes it perfectly." - In The News, 8.5/10
"It's subtle yet packs a killer punch. Not even Sigur Ros is reaching this heady height of experimentation. It's on another level... a stunning listening experience." - Selby Times
I like this way of hearing life
