The man behind the project Braindrop is Sumith Suresh, a versatile trance music producer and one of India’s most popular exports to the trance world.

Music being his biggest passion since childhood, he soon started playing the guitar at the age of 13. As the years passed by he found himself playing in bands in school and his liking for more sinister sounds grew day by day. Having an intriguing curiosity for futuristic sounds, he stumbled upon electronic music and was completely blown away by the endless genre-bending possibilities the style had to offer. With a wide range of influences such as acid house, techno, breaks, drum n bass, trance, industrial to name a few he eventually started dabbling with computer based music production and hasn’t looked back ever since.

In the past few years he has released music on several compilations on various labels such as Omveda Records, Soundkraft Records, Shanti Jatra Music, Occulta Records amongst others. His style, a unique blend of futuristic rhythms with an organic touch has gathered him much attention over the years. Being one of the most sought after producer/djs in the country in the genre his unique style has also led him to perform alongside the likes of Juno Reactor, Atmos, D-Nox, Sensient.

Feeling the need to explore more diverse territories, in 2009 he starts Occulta Records, a label dedicated to push the more slower and progressive side of psychedelic trance which on its debut release received rave reviews worldwide.

He s currently working on his debut album to scheduled in early 2013.
