Although their tracks have been gaining a healthy following online and just under the surface, 'Welcome To The Zoo' is a calling card for the Astroid Boys as they make their way out onto the streets and into the clubs.
Less happy go lucky than their previous single 'Jungle Booku' but remaining playful as they introduce the world to their playground over a low growling Dubstep beat cooked up by their 15 year old super producer Dell Productions. The track (and it’s accompanying video) brings the energy of their live shows to a new audience, having supported the likes of Skream, Ms Dynamite, Newham Generals, Plastician, Ghetts, Tempa T and Nero as well as party Hip-hop crews like Ugly Duckling and Rock bands like The Guns and Brutality Will Prevail, their sound has developed into a mixture of Grime, Hip-hop and heavy Dubstep with a Rock N Roll attitude, where sharp lyrically aerobic flows bounce around massive bass heavy beats.
The song has already received by BBC Radio 1 and chosen as a pick of the week by Huw Stephens and Jessie J on Channel 4 / 4oD’s Topman CTRL television show, plus with a bunch of fantastic remixes on the way from the likes of Boson (Bristol), Liver (Johannesburg) and Flying Skulls (San Francisco), the boys have their sights set on a global takeover.
Welcome to the world of the Astroid Boys...Welcome to the Zoo.
