MUSIC for PLEASURE For the people who like to listen or compose and play music
I've been spending a lot of my time writing pieces for TV, so I decided to take a little break and write something for myself. I love this piece...I can definitely expand on it some more, so it may just be a movement from a larger work...but for now it is what it is. Enjoy!!!

@Brad J Halverson: I was thinking something along the same lines.. well a soldier anyway; this gives me the image of a soldier that has fought many battles, he's worn & torn; his mind dwelling on the battles he fought, the people he saved, the people he could not.. he's a veteran; though unfortunately he's been forgotten by his own country; although in his mind, body & soul he'll always be a patriot & hero!

This section is excellent - A real lift to it! I could imagine this being the theme tune to a period drama. It almost reminds me of the "titanic" soundtrack (obviously not the main song, but some of the other tracks!)

Wow. I'm all about that early transition that introduces the melody! I like your mic placement of the piano in the background. Nice roll out of the larger theme..... and the latter orchestral sweep toward the 3 minute mark. Nice work. Again. :)

The intro feels like dawn rising :) Overall a very filmic soundtrack.
