They just released in january 2009 the track « Blow Up » on the compilation « Boxon Makes Me Happy » (ref. Boxon007) and stayed during 2 months in the top 10 of Beatport (« Indie Dance/Nu Disco » genre) … It seems the Gooseflesh duo does not take holidays, and he is offering us a second sleep. Composed by the two turkish artists in the recording studio of their university in Istanbul, their new nugget is called « Still Wild ».

Ultra-powerfull, the first edit is taking his roots in the « disco-punk » genre, and the vocals made by their friend Baybora Baran are definitely giving more energy to the track. The second edit is a remix made by Gooseflesh themselves, who wanted to show a new arrangement to people. With an intro more « vocal » and more « electro-pop » than the first version, the track is evolving respecting the principles of the composition made for the « rave ». Tinted with « party sounds », thanks to the clever use of trumpets, we ask ourselves if it is not also a musical wink to Mr Oizo…

Will the ascension of Gooseflesh in the « Indie Dance/Nu Disco » charts continue with this project ?

Gooseflesh will be playing at the TRANS MUSICALES de Rennes Festival, on December the 5th, 2009.

Alors qu’ils viennent de « cartonner » dans les charts, restant deux mois dans le Top 10 de
Beatport (genre « Indie Dance/Nu Disco ») avec leur titre « Blow Up » sorti sur la compilation Boxon Makes Me Happy (ref. Boxon007), Gooseflesh ne chôme pas et nous offre une
seconde couche. Composée par les deux artistes dans le studio d’enregistrement de leur
université à Istanbul, leur nouvelle pépite s’appelle « Still Wild ».

Ultra-efficace, le premier edit puise ses influences dans le « disco-punk », et les vocaux de
leur ami Baybora Baran rajoutent inévitablement de l’énergie au morceau.

La deuxième version est un remix signé Gooseflesh eux-mêmes, qui ont déjà souhaité nous
montrer un nouvel arrangement de leur travail. Avec une intro plus « vocale » et plus
« electro-pop » que le premier edit, ce titre évolue en suivant les principes de la composition
taillée pour la « rave ». Teinté ensuite de sonoritées festives grâce à l’utilisation mesurée de
trompettes, on se demande si il ne s’agit pas aussi d’un clin d’oeil musical à Mr Oizo…

L’ascension connue de Gooseflesh dans les charts « Indie Dance/Nu Disco » perdurera-t-elle
avec ce projet ?
