Bow To Each Other consists of Megan Kovacs from Canada and Gunhild Kristoffersen from Norway. They live in Oslo, Norway, and play pop music based on their collective songwriting, synth ideas and vocal harmonies. The project was born when the two moved to Norway after having lived in Liverpool, UK, for several years. Inspired by bands and artists like Sufjan Stevens, Pivot, Wild Beasts, Kate Bush og Robyn, Bow To Each Other wishes to create music that in spite of its melancholy also indicates hope and a light at the end of the tunnel.

The music is structured aroung melodic vocal lines and heartfelt lyrics resting on simple and concise bass lines. Underlyding that, a mixture of electronic and acoustic drum beats, most of which are written by the band’s collaborator Snorre Bergerud. Snorre has also produced Bow To Each Other’s first EP “I Don’t Hear All The Noise” which was released in December 2011. Following the release, the band is planning a Norway tour in the spring, a summer of festivals and an album release in 2012.

During their time in Merseyside, both Megan and Gunhild were able to extend their experience concerning live playing, songwriting and arranging as members of several bands, the last year mainly as part of the folk-trio Stealing Sheep. Megan has been on the road together with China Crisis’ member Gary Daly and has supported America and Suzanne Vega, while Gunhild has toured most of Norway and around Europe as a backing singer for Susanne Sundfør.
