Chris Dooks / Bovine Life, is an artist and composer who also works in the realm of psychogeography - he designs arts council funded tours of towns and environments as well as being funded to partake in large scale residencies. As for the music side of things, Chris has been signed to french electronica heads Bip-Hop (2 albums and an EP as Bovine Life) and Scottish electronica brains Benbecula Records (Dooks' most recent album, 2008's The Aesthetic Animals Album under his own name. Collaborations and contributions have seen Dooks appear on labels such as Highpoint Lowlife, Cactus Island and Fallt.com and also on Alku and The Seven/Three Split. Recently, Chris has set up a netlabel 0 studio1824.com to promote and commission audio pieces about Icehouses. He welcomes all contact for potential collaborations and contributions to the netlabel or to personal practice. Chris has produced six albums since 1999 and numerous EPs and compilation tracks.
