Tina Athanasiadis, aka Bouboulena, is an artist in a category all her own; a rising rhymesayer who brings a fresh new flavor to hip hop, fusing southern rap, dance, electro, rhythm and base. Growing up in St. Louis in a Greek-American family, Bouboulena's tomboyish, independent ways earned her the nickname, a reference to the great Greek heroine known for being, well, a bad ass. Bouboulena discovered her passion early on, when at nine years old, she overheard her older sisters listening to Bone Thugs N'Harmony. It was love at first listen - and a few years later, Bouboulena herself put pen to paper. Influenced by sounds ranging from Missy Elliott to Wu-Tang, Bouboulena's eclectic tracks range from fresh funky dance beats to darker cinematic flows. She has enlisted the expertise of producers Rick Steel (French Montana, Nicki Minaj), Brian Cid (Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, Lady Gaga), Amazing P (Ja Rule, Tiffany Evans), Mike TopNotch and Matt Brevner (Madchild, Tech9). She is currently working on a 7-track EP.
