About

Bev was taught to sing by her mother when she was only 2 years old.She got her first guitar at age 10 and began writing songs in highschool.
Music took a backseat to working in a mine mill for 11 years in the late 70's and 80's.

Bev's passion for music was re-established in the 90's and she began recording around 1996. During that period she also played guitar and was the lead vocalist for the band "Practical Blues".They played at local clubs and gathered a following.

Following the group's break-up in 1999, she moved to Ottawa, Canada where she became interested in First Nation women's hand drumming. She established the group "Women of Wabano" and together they recorded the CD "Voices" which won a Native American Music Award in 2007.

Today, she records for pleasure using a Firepod linked to a iMac G5 computer and a Microtech Gefell M930 microphone. She plays a Seagull guitar (handmade in Quebec) and is surrounded by numerous musician friends.
Life is good!
