I bought 3 copies form Nang direct a while ago and hammered two of these back to back to sort of do my edit of the tune live with vinyl old-school style at a romance moderne party in brussels, the fearful organizer bitch told me what I've played made peoples run away! She instead played a new-beat set pre-selected on a laptop. Fuck boffins. Future classic in my book, forza futurista! ;^) thanks!
Just looked to purchase it and sadly I see it's only digital, I wish this would be on vinyl °_°
I didn't liked the very first instant but then it soon got these elusive 89 something vibes which I love and I feel your take on this is the why, so THANKS!
@gregwilson: I wonder if the vocal snippet is MC Guru from Gang Starr.
I must look after the vinyl I assume and if it's in that format I'll be glad to purchase
Great track by the way
Is she a fierce ruling diva? ;^°
so great, do you know if Bryan has also a profile here on SC ? Thanks for the music, would love to be back in NYC
Hey found your track first via maxipromotion
Cool is this (to be or already) on vinyl ?
So cool THANKS I consider jumping in the Eurostar train tomorow
@gregwilson: Oh geeee I wonder what is that track starting just after James Brown, I recognize many parts which I assume must have been sampled countless times but can't ID the track yet! °_°
1982 probably my fav' year for soulful groovy dance music so far, the at time much appreciated lush orchestration aspect of disco production were stripped down but the arrangement skills and musicianship remained while some new electro elements melted-in while not taking over the whole sound which remained soulful while being extremely 'groovy', never again in time such specific ways of creating dance music was again on the board. Just wondering, was your voice recorded back then (from radio broadcast or so) or done more recently? Anyway: Big THANKS for posting that!
Topnotch! I'll get the vinyl
@Franck Kartell: Thanks a lot for the info. Again I like your approach and love this music. That said I feel you may like Clara Mondshine's music too ;p
I just bought the EP on bandcamp. May I ask if you used any ultra slowed down snippet of Memorymetropolis by Clara Mondshine here? Just curious. Great composition anyway.
Great music!
Damn good!
J'aime
This is a great track!
@Dj.KASH: Thanks pal, see you later probably X
Oh and thanks for playing that vibe, may I ask you artist/formation name and track title please? My search engine will do the rest to get the vinyl. Cheers
Wishing you a great Saturnalia best Kash ;)
From where could I buy this on vinyl please? I can't find Dither Down own website!
@FIRST TOUCH: just curious is because it use sample or is it a full First Touch creation?
I like the edit restructuring but to be honest the tchk tchk tchk (snare or hit-hat?) sound all over and constantly annoys me at most, the rest of things I've listened from you is fine and your own creation is the best thing to listen to here imo x
I hope such good track will be released to VINYL on Highsteppin' of course (though i would by the cake on any labels). Doing vinyl would be the best format for that music, cheers
By the way I would love to find this on vinyl 12"', will it be available?
So gracious from you to make this free available, thanks. Since age I wished such music would return and you do it! Keep on & congrats!
This composition was done by Olof Dreijer, why then do you post a tune you didn't even made?
It's no edits nor in a mix so ... Probably Oni Ayhun is on SoundClouds, I'll check out ...
maybe because your understanding of english is poor but what you do when you display 'remix" are actually what one would consider a 'cover version', these aren't remixes as you don't even work with the original tape reels or source material, you juist do a 'cover', une reprissse as they say ...
@Frizzo: Proper mastering (a nearly lost art) has NOTHING to do with loudness (see loudness war). Thanks JD Twitch, I'm sure the vinyl will sound fine enough.
@chris_carter: Sorry but I thought DIrty Carter was name of a release of yours I ignored but is it just the name of one type of set-up you use? Is it the same set-up as at CC Luchball? Is is Rebirth based or ... ? Just wondering, Thanks for your time if you just could make me figure out briefly (as the title of track lakes me curious, I use CV + MIDI no computer but I did fun things on Rebirth only when that soft was new)
Most certainly one of the best artist on SoundCloud. I"ve just pre-ordered a TG vinyl remaster, I am convinced you and Cossy did an amazing job, not only at remastering but also repackaging, design and all (I'm often turned off by poor & downgraded print quality of visuals/packaging for most of late years reissue but in the case of the TG remaster serie, I trust you blindly!) So for fact I just wanted to say (aside of that for you me you are a genius): CONGRATULATIONS!
@AmbAngel: Chris Carter is the ubber-pro and has been busy in electronic music since decades! Enjoy x
Aww it looks like there are a few tunes here in this mix which made me curious, would you mind sending me the playlist please?
Wait, I've never eard this version! Is it an edit of yours? Where to be found (vinyl, digital, .. ) ? Thanks in advance
Thank you soooooooo much for making this one available. I'll promote The XX and Rory P among my friends for sure .. x
It's fine but could you at least reveal what you've been lifting up here plea
Thank you so much for this Greg!
