trying to knock this into shape at the mo
it's too long and a bit cluttered, needs some fills (understated ones), got a great guitar part to go on top and I'm figuring out the lyrics right now but I've over-listened to it a bit and am wondering whether the basic groove is as sexy as hell (as I originally thought) or whether it needs a bit of a change up
hmmm
(excuse the out of tune guide vocals)
@EvrenKader: From Erol forum innit
@deCtar: that's good yeah?
really nice work dude
@STYGG: cheers guys, it's knocking around on a few blogs too and stay tuned for a club mix shortly...
@rayspark-industries: yup, it's this little puppy... http://i49.tinypic.com/1z389af.jpg
@Ssupreme: hej Ssupreme - it's not actually a remix, it's a cover version. There's no samples or anything - I just played it all on my bass, guitar and synths on top of programming a bog-standard drum plugin. Glad you like it though. I did this one for a DJ gig in early 2007
@Attack Yourself!: cheers ay, it may even amount to something one day
@RNDMS: haha, yeah - and which side does this come down on?
@howes And Parker: yep. I'm trying to follow the adage of less is more but it doesn't always work that way. Ta for the comment. I don't know ascii disco - I'll have to check them out
@Richmanu: Ooh, Ta
@b-trp: thanks. It seems this remix is getting some love and attention. I hope it doesn't all tail off and peter out after a couple of days ...
@Richmanu: Cheers mister - yeah I think it came good because I didn't spend too much time on it ;)
@AttackYourself!: tack!
I've now renamed this 'Body In The Thames Bishopsgate brutality mix'. I think it's a little more tasteful. Thanks
@mattkarmil: yeah - I could probably do that - come by the studio dudio
@sdam: tusen tack
@alcxxk: is that a good rargh or a hate rargh?
I really like this tune, it's mean. It could definitely carry on for another 3 minutes of meaty crunch
you need to fuck around with dropping the beats out just before the 1and having the bass make the fills on its own and then repeat this whole big section again later on with some breaks, fills and drops
Some big reverb w/stereo delay just before the drop and then drop to really dry would sound great here
This vocal track just sounds so awesome I really didn't have to put much to it to catch the mood and intensity. Props to Burt and Karmil
don't know why I haven't used this little trick on any other tunes... hmm
This one I did for a laugh back when that infamous youtube clip had 4 million views. No one's heard it at all until I posted it on soundcloud
ouch! :)
