If you haven't heard Bobby Tables rock a DJ set yet, you certainly will soon. As one of Saskatchewan's most promising up-and-coming DJ's today, he can be found slaying dancefloors across the Canadian prairies with the hardest hitting electro and progressive house bangers today's music scene has to offer.
Having been infatuated with music since a very young age, Brett McClelland was a shoe-in for the DJ scene. From slappin bass guitar for 3 years in high school, to rocking the skins as a heavy metal drummer for 8 years, he has had no shortage of music exposure in his life. The planets aligned during the summer of 2009 when, during a chance meeting on a houseboating trip in Shuswaps, British Columbia, Brett had the opportunity of befriending the promoters, managers, and resident DJ's of Boodang Music Canada, who exposed him to the hypnotic world of Electronic Dance Music - and he was hooked, BIG TIME. He found himself some turntables and a mixer, donned the moniker of DJ Bobby Tables, and went to work.
After banking uncountable hours behind the tables, honing his craft on a daily basis, and rocking countless house parties, it has only taken Bobby a mere 7 months of spinning to earn himself a residency under Saskatchewan legends Flatland Funk. By the first anniversary of his DJ career, he landed a residency at Tequila Nightclub in Saskatoon; arguably the hottest club in all of Saskatchewan, having hosted world-class DJs/Producers such as: Steve Aoki, Benny Benassi, Skrillex, Dada Life, Sidney Samson, Chris Lake, Bad Boy Bill, Congorock, Harvard Bass, Paul Oakenfold, Anne Savage, Chuckie, Lisa Lashes, L.A. Riots, The Crystal Method, Sander Van Doorn, and R3hab. Quite a first year by any standards. Clearly, Bobby's wasting no time.
On October 18th, 2011, Bobby's long-time dream of being part of Boodang Music Canada came true; he is now serving as their eyes and ears here in Saskatoon, helping them spread their influence and promoting their world-class events. Bobby has also been accepting bookings at various nightclubs, parties and events large and small throughout Western Canada, in cities including Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Shuswaps, BC. Keep an eye out for this rising star at your favourite Saskatchewan dance destinations, you will be flailing to one of his electrifying sets in the very near future!
