"What you like" eventually takes on a different meaning altogether, and difficult to explain the differences...

@BrettJayB: Actually, I read that as "too gangster, money orientated and commercial"... Yeah... and I wouldn't call it Hip Hop... :-) Subgenres of Rap... Dirty South, etc... or spoofs on it... then the abstract underground stuff, more lyrically oriented than boom bap... right... I like the lyrics, but more so the effects of the tonal rhythms... but add that to whatever layer of semantic content' and a good combination of those things takes you places... or it does me... It's gotta have a bit of all of it, beats and all, to be worth a shit... to me... Some, like Sir Plus from Bristol just amaze me... and also Nappy Roots from Kentucky... and that's not "urban music"... I like that aspect too... It's a different animal... I like... :-)

very nicely done, brooding yes!!! Got the kitchen done with this as the soundtrack, so all's good!! Some of the Hip Hop tunes aren't my cup of tea (prefer rugged and boom bap!), but sound really good in the mix!!
