Oh, i'm fully aware I'm an idealistic oddball... :-) thanks, that's a nice compliment... That track definitely has its moment, or the "right time" to drop it in a live situation if it presents itself, and the cumulative effect is ridiculous (and meaningful)), and adding it here is the lesser of a bunch of evils in my mind... and it sucks that the best i can say is "it doesn't clash..." I think every great house record/track, and i do mean great house tracks... have their one moment that cycles around every now and then... and great house dj's, that's why they're great... they intuit what moment it is, and have those gems to cover it and if you were there, you remember it... :-) in this case, the further away from NY you get with it, the less those moments will repeat themselves esp. in my direction. After this long, I'm gonna not put it up, unused, but that's all it's really getting... but i'm not going to pretend anymore about the potential here, and now it's damn sure not gonna happen w/ this copy....

Cherie Cassiol now Chase gave me her copy of this record because she knew how much I thought of this eloquent and timeless piece of work. I carried it in my box for eleven years waiting for a perfect moment and the right vibe to do it justice and reveal its power, and I think of how cool that might have been to be part of a moment like that, but sometimes there is no justice, and some tracks - to play them just to play them is irresponsible, and depending on what it is, after a point in time, just to carry them around in public is irresponsible. So, I'm paying homage to it here. Anyone that's had a moment with this one will understand. If you didn't, better luck next life, this copy is Top-Shelf - RETIRED.
