Absence D'Esprit was the "FIX" in January, 1989, trying to salvage a project called "Dark Matter" Dark Matter (1998 Previously Unreleased) by Bobby Rainmaker, that I'd already named and printed CD artwork...
Bottom-Line is.... to try to make the music fit a specific idea doesn't always work out... so best not to package it before it actually exists... because even w/ the simplest themes and sound appropriate to them... it still can go wrong if... and whatever.... a big IF....and usually the IFs have it...
...and it don't work.... Didn't work for me... you can do whatever... :-)

@JMX: ...basically by changing the first 3 or 4 tracks out it just became a more conservative version of the same thing...

@JMX: that remix of the Friction and Spice track was the first thing I ever saw from Hybrid... "Dark Matter" had been all about capturing these new sounds where they were markedly different and fresh, where this is me taking the same EP's I was drawing from for D.M. and using a bit more standard sounding tracks of the day... Yet it's still roughly the same type of goal for this one too... It just comes off as melodic and chemical-ish, rather than the Tipper-esque (is that a word?) sounding fare of DM, in a Nu Skool vein (before that term was readily applicable).

Damn, Hybrid? Scary to think how long those guys have been around now and still coming up with great stuff now.
