About
Bobby Nakib was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1983. In the early 90’s, a couple of albums caught his eye at a local record store, and he discovered his love for dance music. He was also greatly influenced by the 60’s and 70’s classics his father listened to on the radio each morning. In his college years, he became the drummer for local rock band LAF. Bobby also re-discovered his passion for electronic music through Montreal’s diverse and eclectic techno and house music scenes, and made many good friends who shared a passion for music.
Since moving to Boston five years ago, Bobby has been a heavy contributor to the city’s underground dance scene, and he’s famous for his Radio Loft parties in downtown Boston. Bobby has also shared the bill with top-notch talent such as Claude Von Stroke, Soul Clap, Tanner Ross, Kate Simko, DJ Three, and more.
Most recently, Bobby’s remix collaboration with Adam Collins for Proviant Audio is being supported by seminal UK house label Paper Recordings. He hosts Friday nights at the W hotel’s new club, Descent.
