Blu Saphir Recordings was created in 2004 on the grounds of improving and expanding the variety of sounds that liquid funk has to offer. Jay Rome got in contact with Muffler, Kaleb and Contour back in 2003. He loved their music and decided to work with them on a new label to release proper music,” the label owner comments. “Twintone and I had completed a tune entitled “I Try” which had such good feedback that Muffler decided to do a remix. We had these tunes ready for the label, so we started Blu Saphir Recordings to release it.”
The label has gone on throughout 2005 and 2006 to release two more singles, featuring the aforementioned Muffler remix of “I Try” and Bungle remix of “Synapse” on the release, number 003. Number four was on the rise with Aspect’s “Soul Lady” and Electrosoul System’s “Fun” and 005 was by the russians artists "Jebar & D.K. Foyer’s" with “Rhytual” which has been remixed by Soundtrax mastermind, Big Bud for the flip. And the releases went on until 2008 with artists like Submorphics, Chino, The Ego, Bungle, DJ Roots, Ill Esha, Random Movement, Peyo, Cloud 9, W.T., Redeyes and Youthman which had a massive feedback worldwide.
There’s a lot in store for the future of the label. Featuring a Label colaboration between Blu Saphir Recs and Syncopix Recs which will be an EP with artists like: Henree, Syncopix, Enei and Bionic1. After that great project colabo there are planned otherl big releases by Kaleb, Fox:Rox & Geetox, Enei and Paul SG. Blu Saphir will continue to push on a new sound of liquid to the masses. The labelowner definitely see this style in a good position for the future because liquid funk is still representing timeless music.
