Awesome track originally written by the master of the C64 sidchip... Rob Hubbard. One of my all time favourites... ever. Ever. Written in 1987 for Thalamus Software for the game of the same name. This was written as a 20 year anniversary gesture to one of the all time greats.Speedball 2 Remix by Bluejooz Uploaded by bluejooz Start following Send a message on February 28, 2009 14:09

What a nice sound that is happening here. It sits so nicely between chiptune and a more modern sound.

The bass here isn't really translating fully on my headset and sounds a bit too muffled. Hard to describe but the presence isn't there that I seem to want it to be at.
-
@dynamic-interplay: I used the original bass sample through out the track. I wanted authenticity mixed with what I created. The bass sample was dull.

As I listen to this all the way through the percussion seems to be taking center stage quite a bit. Not a bad thing if that is what you are going for, but it is a little hard to here the intricate stuff you have going on underneath.
-
@Dynamic Interplay: I think it was a case of "ahh... fuck it..."... I did try and alter the mix at this point (if I can remember... it was a few years ago) but it never worked so I thought I'd leave it... I think it adds to the drive of the track.

A remix and rearrangement of a very classic track from my old Amiga days. Original Speedball 2 by Nation XII / The Bitmap Bros. I get a lot of requests for this track so here it is... in it's original remix glory. EnjoyPrivately by Cyra Elia Uploaded by bluejooz Start following Send a message on February 26, 2009 14:28

An eerie soundtrack / orchestral track written and created using a tracker called Med Sound Studio as an experiment. Worked out quite well to be honest if not a little creepy. Would sit nicely as part of a game soundtrack. I may reproduce this track again in the near future. Intro gets a bit long for me at this point as the form is repeating. Something simple like some underlying sustained strings or pads would add another dimension just enough to keep the thought progressing forward.
@Dynamic Interplay: Strings or pads would have defeated the whole premise of the track... it is totally and completely just vocals. No synths at all.
