I run an on line label called "The Ambient Collective" and release music under the Creative Creations Act. I am also involved with the Serious-Sounds Network as Assistant Admin. Two very different sites but with one aim... to help other musicians.
I myself have been writing and producing all kinds of music for well over 20 years. These days I like to class myself as a Soundscape Artist... I know, it's a little flashy but I think it will catch on.
I like to produce and write all sorts of different kind music genres because I don't like to be pigeon holed to one category. Admittedly, most of my tracks are electronica but they cross over to different styles with in the track.
I'm also noted for doing game music remixes (and rearrangements) and recently I've embarked on remixing original music by other artists.
I am also one half of an 80's cover band "The Rubiks" and I am also in my own band called "Cyra Elia" with the other half of The Rubiks lead singer, Cyra. Busy times... as The Rubiks we perform mainly at charity events. As Cyra Elia we mainly just do studio recordings these days due to work commitments.

@Dynamic Interplay: You should try listening to this as the complete mix. 1hour and 8 minutes of heaven.
@Dynamic Interplay: Strings or pads would have defeated the whole premise of the track... it is totally and completely just vocals. No synths at all.
Thank you.
@Dynamic Interplay: I think it was a case of "ahh... fuck it..."... I did try and alter the mix at this point (if I can remember... it was a few years ago) but it never worked so I thought I'd leave it... I think it adds to the drive of the track.
@dynamic-interplay: I used the original bass sample through out the track. I wanted authenticity mixed with what I created. The bass sample was dull.
Great track with a good build and flow. The overall production is excellent too.
Thanks Mat. This song was originally written and recorded on an old cassette four track way back in 1996. We originally recorded the whole backing track onto tape and then layered backing vocals and then bounced them with effects. Then we performed the track live and recorded it all via a desk into a minidisc recorder. We had no real control over the levels or effects so it was always a unique recording.
This version was started from scratch. All new vocals, all new synths, all new production and a new guitar. The whole thing was recorded using Cubase SX2 at Christmas 2008.
The original will be uploaded at some point because I think it deserves to be heard. It featured some really cool midi work in my opinion... Steinbergs Pro 24 running on an Atari ST520 with a Yamaha SY22 and a Roland (Boss) drum machine ALL hooked up to an Amiga 1200 running OctaMED V3 running 8 and 4 bit samples for the drums and effects. Ahhhh... they were the days!
Nice little production trick there... panning the bassline. Nicely done.
You gotta love doing dreamy breaks like this...
Thought I recognised this... I think I've got it on my iPod. Love this track.
Nice... ohh... and the bit destruction is awesome! Excellent ending!
Now this is sweet. The build is cool. Nice and simple drums. The lead sound is really good... it sounds organic :)
So far it's good but the reverse hat isn't doing it any favours... could do with either turning down or just keeping it to one section. I think the problem is that is sounds too random. Perhaps if it was controlled a little more it might work better. The outer track is ace though... I'm a sucker for sweeping pads.
A really easy to listen to track that isn't hard on the senses. Nice sounds which are beautifully controlled. It's all too easy to go over the top but you managed to keep it on track.
Nice outro :)
Nice variation of the melody creeping in. Nice use of simple sounds.
Builds up nicely...
