About

As a life-long songwriter, musician, photographer and writer, I am always trying to make sense of the world and the life I live through my prisms and lenses, which is what I call 'Blue Beach Song'.

My songs are like personal journals. Over the years, they have become outlets of expression and observation, joy and pain, love found and love lost. They express my own, yet universal, emotional journeys and life stories.

At the heart of my music are lyrics, melody and raw emotion. The recordings are simple, acoustic, one-takes. As you will hear, there is a lot I have yet to learn about sound recording or sound engineering, or singing, for that matter. (I am a work in progress.) However, I would like to be a great songwriter someday, whose songs move people, in spite of my 'Bob Dylan' voice. (Okay, maybe not quite Bob Dylan.)

In the spirit of always growing and improving, any feedback and comments you may have are truly appreciated.

Thank you for listening!

All the best, -Martie (Blue Beach Song)

P.S.
All of the songs posted here are my own original compositions - there are no cover songs.
