    on July 30, 2011 18:15

@Pedro's Pumpernickel: all gets pretty chaotic here - can't really remember how that big distorted thing came about....a lot of it is the E350 wavetable oscillator being morphed by various things. that ALWAYS sounds sweet as....

@Pedro's Pumpernickel: it's actually a noise from earlier (one produced by Plague Bearer) that i time-stretched for a laugh, producing that noise that sounds like doves cooing. the banging about is some reggae drum sample that i put through loads of dubby delays - one on each side. was thinking the dove needs to come out more....maybe blending in with some real doves - that might be cool. there's a bit earlier that sounds like an owl, so maybe there could be a kind of birdlike theme....at the end, the chattering monkeys turn gradually into seagulls (in my mind....)

@Ojay.: a geezer i went to college with did all the piano on my first album....and this track. it's wicked....reminds me of david bowie's pianist - mike garson, who played on Aladdin Sane and some of the later stuff like "heart's filthy lesson" (and the rest of the "outside" album, which has a few cool tracks on it...)

@Kyle JR Morris: yeah...that's Frohmage being automated for sure...not sure it turns into the bassline, but nice that you hear it like that! i heard it turning into the high pitched synth noise that sounds like an elephant trumpeting! (all of these sounds are entirely unconnected by the way...they just blend together nicely as the reslut of the mix/ arrangement - all separate sounds). here's Frohmage - get it, it's great...been using it for 10 years at least http://www.ohmforce.com/ViewProduct.do?p=Frohmage

@Kyle JR Morris: which bit do you mean exactly and i can tell you how i did it - tell us the timing. it might be the Ohm Force Frohmage plugin being automated....you can do loads of pseudo-time shifting effects with that

how are you doing the rhythmic, glitchy stuff here? is it the e350 morphing through the waves in glitch mode? you should check out the clip i did of the e350 going into the a115 audio divider....get some mental noises with that combo. here it is if you're interested...reminds me a bit of this, that's why i asked how you did it Spite Zoo

lovin this! (matttech from muff's here..) - you should finish it into a full track. dropping it down into some nice warm low bass and then kicking back into the glitchy e350 stuff would be sweet!

sweet - nice demo of two exact modules i have in my modular plan! - what's the a143-1 doing....is it a complex env...or is that a simple AD sweet that is creating all the craziness at the gamma wave's end?

sounds awesome. love it....and cheaper than hertz donut/ piston. AND actually 2 proper oscs, rather than one FMing the other
