About
Anthony Washburn also known as Digi Black was born and raised in Hartford, CT. He has been a fan of Hip Hop since the age of six, this time period is known as The Golden Age of Hip Hop.
In the early 90’s a young Digi Black was influenced by artist such as The Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Dr. Dre, Mobb Deep and many more. At this time he and his friends began writing lyrics and reciting them.
At the age of thirteen he received his first set of turntables and a mixer. It was then he began to DJ at local parties and decided he wanted to be more than an artist. This was when Digi Black realized that he wanted to be a producer but due to his involvement in criminal activities he found himself in and out of correctional facilities for the next ten years.
In 2004 Digi Black vowed to put his criminal lifestyle behind him. He began to focus and dedicate himself to his music. At the legendary Trackhouse Recording Studio in Hartford, CT is where he began to sharpen his production skills.
Since then he has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of artist. His work includes music production, video production and graphic arts for mixtape covers. He has even done some personal projects.
