About
Alchemical Reaction is the name of experimental dance project by musician Iain Duncan.
After years of playing in bands and working on collaborative production projects, in 2011 Iain went solo not only starting to produce experimental guitar-based dance tracks but also revisiting his roots by putting his old Newclear Waste ( Newclear Waste ) acoustic material into production.
In 2012, the pedal really is on the metal when as far as the Alchemical Reaction project is concerned, with a new hardware setup & the aim of having a completed live set by early summertime.
All the tracks are composed almost entirely on midi guitar, including the basslines.
As this is an experimental style and project without definable boundaries, always be prepared to expect the unexpected ;)
Before making his way to a welsh forest party 5 years ago, and subsequently numerous european dance festivals, Iain came from a background of promoting live music events and playing music as a live musician, so it was important to him that the music was more than 'blips and bops' which is why his music has strong melodies at its core (without being cheesy, however sometimes a slice of cheddar can't be avoided;). Also because of this, when playing live, do not expect this individual to be an artist who simply hits play ;)
