This song is the saddest song ever written - It hurts just listening to it. The first time I listened to it it hurt like fire - and I just can't listen to it too much (I dont deny I'm a bit oversensitive). In this song there (seems to me to be) friction between restrained, constrained, dissonant emotions. It seems to talk about depressive feelings - or the abscence of feelings that characterizes depression, and the sort of guilt associated with that. But there is not exactly a lack of feelings in the song, there is like an omnipresent conscience of what it could be and a dissonance between that and what it is. There is sincerity in insincerity.

Really like this song, "don't look at me I'm afraid you'll see there is nothing", wow the words have a lot of feeling behind them.
