Former bass player and autodidact musician, Blanali starts his work in the techno scene as a producer at the beginning of this century in his hometown Bogota. Influenced by bands like The Residents, Skinny Puppy and Future Sound of London and also from the work of musicians like Charles Mingus, thelonious monk, John Cage and Edgard Varese, his early productions were a mixture of experimentation and pure techno. Always performing as a live act in the local scene saturated by the djing culture, he appeared like a highlight in the underground. He is part of one of the main crews and oldest one in Colombia TECHSOUND. Located in Bogota Techsound is a synonym of techno and become an important label and booking agency. A favourite for many clubs and festivals, his live set full of analogue sound mixed into micro atmospheres has been destroying dancefloors since a long time ago. His work as a producer and his vocation for independent art took his work to many places in the world. From Australia to Europe as a remixer for many different projects, including indie bands, techno producers, industrial rockers and much more, such as his works as a composer for art performances, installations and contemporary dance.
