MUSIC FROM EVERY DIRECTION Who wins Euro 2012 (vote, comment & win)
An original piece of music I composed after some random inspiration today. Hopefully this conveys some kind of epic sea-faring, pirate-filled craziness.
From initial tinkerings to the final piece posted on YouTube, it was around 3 hours work. The video includes the original piano sketches I made to start with to give an idea of how the piece evolved from start to finish (other than going from 4/4 to 3/4).
Used:
FL Studio 10, Kontakt 4, Cinesamples CineBrass, Voxos, HollyWoodwinds, CineSnare & CineCrash, 8dio Requiem Pro, Spitfire Albion, Harp, Percussion, Symphonic Strings, Chamber Strings & British Woodwinds, Project SAM Symphobia, Symphobia 2 & True Strike, Orchestral Tools Orchestral String Runs, Audiobro LA Scoring Strings, Kontakt 4 Accordion, Various private orchestral library bits, FL Keys for the rough mockup

This melody sounds like it has always existed in our collective consciousness.

The only gripe I have with this is that when the choir in the background shifts notes quickly it sounds synthesized. Other than that this is an incredible track :D

where do you get that choir from?? or do you use an actual orchestra to compose your pieces?

Captured the mood perfectly. Just happens that Requiem Pro is on sale until tonight....decisions, decisions.....
