new-zealand-story
An orchestra version of the theme tune from the game, 'The New Zealand Story'. This is one of my favourite pieces of all time and I've never been able to capture the feel of it properly before now. This is my best attempt yet. It's far from perfect but it's getting there. I think the piece really needs a close-mic setup as it's so bouncy and quick that any kind of reverb drowns it. Hopefully I achieved that sound with this.
It took around an hour from start to finish (lots of looping and quick edits). I'll attack this again in the future, I'm sure. This is actually the 5th time I've attempted this piece and the first time I've been happy with the results - thank you CineBrass!
