I wrote this for a mix CD that I sent to a complete stranger (jetydo), as part of reddit's first mixcd swap (http://www.reddit.com/r/mixcd)

It was inspired by my overall reddit experience, and realizing how much a group of people who will likely never meet face-to-face could accomplish.

    Lyrics:

we all saw the same light

entering our eyes for the first time.

i know we've had a few tears overlap

    so much time consuming

have to keep up with the latest meme

idleness - could it be our real trap?

    one more selfish dream

are we fighting from the same team?

    one more selfish dream

and though i've never seen your face

we both have the same potential
to make this world so great

this isn't just some mix tape

it's a call to stand together

and use our lives to fix this place

    together we

    aren't some groupthink experiment

    together we

we aren't some Narwhal/Bacon fan club

we're the people - when we speak, they better listen

    together we

we can fight for our freedoms

    together we

    we can take a stand

    together we're

complete strangers, but we are in command

    from the air we breathe

    to the blood we bleed

we are one, one in the same

    from the hate we store

    to our quest for more

we are one, we're the same
