another unofficial remix by Poor Ragged Rascal, it's a future funk electro afro house blend ...just replaced the file with a mastered version, I started it yesterday and I was just trying to come up with something different for my dj sets. this part is nice. until the new sound comes in. maybe the synth stronger or more to the front imho.
- blackmarketfunk on July 10, 2009 14:05
@Eigensinn: yes that sample was from another track in a relative key and I just threw it in there... probably better left out
-
@blackmarketfunk: i get the idea of what you want to achieve with the sample and really like it. just the sample is sort of dull. keep working! :-)

A 9 minute clip of my live PA using Ableton Live and Axiom 49 keyboard controller, the middle track is some kind of ethnic moody dark electric bass tech house sort of blend Pluto Bump Uploaded by blackmarketfunk Start following Send a message on July 03, 2009 22:13

Super nice groove going on, only suggestion would be to make this breakdown longer, more dramatic with no bass. or switch up to a different rhythm & type of bass, or just lose it alltogether, and then slam it back in. Other than that lovin' it... nice live PA
- blackmarketfunk on July 05, 2009 04:46
@Christopher Wesley: thanks for the feedback, I can play around with it a bit for sure, switching up the bass sound and rhythm here might be nice
- Christopher Wesley on July 05, 2009 08:44
@blackmarketfunk: no i just meant switching up the rhythm OF the baseline completely, maybe blending into a different type of decending/ascending bass then silenc then slaming back in that original baseline from before the breakdown. other than that it's perfect
- Christopher Wesley on July 06, 2009 23:48
Just thought a phasing-out/changing/removing of the bass all the way and tweaking around a little more and a little longer during the breakdown would give the track more drama and "oopmh" when the orig. bassline comes back around again... just my 2 cents....
