Black Ice was created by two friends – Loko & J-Hill, who had known each other extensively for many years through a church in South London, UK. The duo quickly discovered that they shared the same love and passion for music, and on top of working full time jobs, investing funds and putting lengthy hours into the studio, they always believed that someday they would be able to share their music and talents with the world. The DJ/producing/song writing duo produced several tracks, leading to publicity for Black Ice (predominately in the UK House music scene) across the UK and in other parts of the world. After collaborations with several artists, songwriters, musicians and other producers, the duo felt that it was time to go worldwide with their tracks. Frustration hit when it became difficult to get their music plugged after refusals from several independent labels.. The duo agreed that if they were to get their sound heard, that running their own label would be the only way forward. Hard work, determination and strength from God lead to the birth of 'Ten10 Records™' - the independent record label owned by the production duo Black Ice; a unique fusion of different genres creating a new sound for the music scene from a range of talented individuals.
