Pretty Little Thing is the highly infectious, toe-tapping second single to be taken from the debut self-titled album by Australia’s Blackchords. The single heralds the bands return to the UK this summer with a slot already confirmed at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival in May and a host of other UK shows planned.

Following an overwhelmingly positive response to the album in Australia "Melbourne quartet shoot for the stars on widescreen debut (Rolling Stone Magazine) Blackchords headed confidently to Europe last autumn where they wowed crowds in France and the UK with the intensity of their live shows which culminated in a headline show at The Barfly with support from fellow Aussies Yves Klein Blue.

Despite only a brief first visit to the UK in 2009 the band quickly made waves, with the video for debut single ‘At World’s End’ play-listed on MTV2 and NME Radar TV while Kerrang! Radio’s Alex Baker made them his featured artist of the week proclaiming “LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Blackchords!” The plaudits continued with both Record Of The Day and Q Online making At World’s End track of the day. Since returning to Australia the band have spent the Australian summer touring and winning over Australian crowds with their dynamic textured sounds which continue to win favorable comparisons with the likes of Ryan Adams, Elbow and Jeff Buckley.

The Blackchords sound, crafted by lead singer and song-writer Nick Milwright has been influenced by his diverse life experiences both as a soldier and then incredibly as a ballet dancer, training at one of Australia top dance schools. Unbelievably, it wasn’t until he was in his twenties that he felt ready to open his mouth and sing. Blackchords was born and they signed to Dust Devil Music in 2008.

Fast-forward to summer 2010 and Blackchords are ready to take the UK by storm.
